Jimmy founded Southern Heritage Builders on the concept that honesty, quality and craftsmanship would always come before simply earning a living. There are many ways in which a Contractor can “cut corners” or choose to do a job the “cheaper way” instead of the correct way. Southern Heritage Builders builds every home as if it was their home, relying on Jimmy’s more than twenty five years of construction experience, ensuring no detail goes unnoticed. Also, they take pride in the fact their Home Owners stay within the agreed on budget and the project is completed on schedule.
Southern Heritage is a company that takes pride in its employees and subcontractors. They are treated with respect and expected in turn to treat each job site with respect. They use the same subcontractors on each job, which reflects in the finished project. Their employees are second to none and they treat each Home Owner with kindness and complete their work with a wealth of knowledge behind them. They understand what is expected of them and go above and beyond to see the project through. By the completion of most jobs they’ve all gained valuable friendships that continue on well after the project is complete.
This philosophy has carried over into Jimmy’s commitment to Community Service. He donated his time to help build the Suwannee Station Baptist Church and Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, in which he was a founding member. In addition Southern Heritage Builders contributed their time, labor and resources to build the Rotary Pavilion at the First Federal Sportsplex. Jimmy also takes time to invest in our community’s future by working with the SKILLS team from RIVEROAK Technical College. Recently, he accompanied the SKILLS team to the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City.
Jimmy is a member of the following community organizations:
Jimmy and his wife Michelle have 3 children; Nicky, Dale and Brittney, who is married to Ryan Smith. The family is rounded out with Rocco, their beloved pet.
